General Information - No Warranty Policy

Due to the conditions under which they operate, all Goodyear Racing Tyres sold by North Terrace Tyres - Racing Division have no warranty expressed or implied as to the merchantability, fitness for any particular purpose or otherwise with respect to Goodyear Racing Tyres, Tubes, Saefety Spares or Air Containers and shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages arising out of the use theeof. Race tyres are not tested or labeled to meet Australian Standard, and therefore it is illegal to sell racing tyres for public highways.
Goodyear Racing Tyres are specifically designed and compounded for racing only. They are illegal for street or highway use.
Specifications: Size designation on Goodyear race tyres shows nominal diameter X tread width - bead diameter (ie. 27 x 13-15) in inches. This is taken when the tyre is mounted, inflated and in an unloaded condition.
Codes & Compounds: Each tyre will have a Code Number and in most cases a Compound Number moulded into the sidewall of the tyre. The first, called a "D" Number, consists of the letter D and four numbers (ie D1407) which identifies each particular tire as to dimensions, construction and compound. Should any of these characteristics be changed, then the "D" Number will be changed.
The second, a Compound Number, the compound designation consisting of a letter and one to three numbers (ie. R430 D7 M30A). This identifies the tread compound only.
Tyre Care: Goodyear tyres should not be stored near high temprature in direct sunlight, around welding areas, in overhead garage areas where temperature may reach 100 F or 38 C, or around high voltage electric motors. Controlled atmosphere and temprature without sunlight is ideal.
Mounting Procedure: All Goodyear racing tyres have an eight digit number moulded into the sidewall (ie 5HZKMB28), when mounted to the vehicle this serial number should face the right on the rear axle and the left on the front axle. In other words it will be OUT on the RIGHT REAR and IN on the LEFT REAR in the case of the REAR axle, and the reverse for the front axle, LR is OUT and RF is IN.
Pressures: Goodyear race tyres should be inflated so that the tyre does not roll or distort during cornering, then adjusted to personal preference. Drag tyre pressure should be changed in half pound increments, Dirt tyres adjust to personal preference and in some cases allowing for the use of bleed offs. When installing screws in Goodyear Drag tyres, insure that the tyre is inflated to 25 Psi. on installation then deflate to operating pressure to ensure "locking" procedure.
Ordering Procedure: We have facilities available for Mastercard, Visa, Bankcard, we accept postal orders and the facility available for bank transfer. We have freight contracts that are very competitive to enable cheap, efficient service available for Australia wide distribution.
